It's unusual for us to write an introductory message to everyone taking the course but we felt this was necessary to make this Journey smoother.

So essentially negotiation is about communication and persuasion. The key thing to be highlighted here is that some pieces of content you'll see ahead are directly tied into negotiation, whereas others are about communication and persuasion and not directly linked to negotiation, however, they are extremely helpful! So, be assured that everything you watch or read ahead can be somehow used in negotiation. Negotiation can obviously help in business but also in day-to-day interactions.

Another thing we'd link to mention is that negotiation is more of a social skill and can't be assessed or reviewed by us especially because we can't design meaningful tasks where you negotiate with yourself, however, we have included an article at the very end of this journey with a few exercises you can try out for yourself!
